Early this morning, around 7:30 am, police were called to a house in Che Keng Tuk. A woman had called them saying that her husband had gone to take a bath some time earlier, but did not respond to her calls after she felt he had been there too long.
Police broke down the door and found the man in the bath. He did not respond to any stimulus. An ambulance was called, and the medics confirmed he was dead at the scene.
It is reported that the victim suffered from heart disease, high blood pressure and other medical complaints. The water in the bath was cold when the police arrived. No suicide note was found and initial investigations revealed no suspicious circumstances. Cause of death will be determined pending an autopsy.
