Musicians Frankie Hollywood and Jane and Ryan will lead the entertainment at the third HONG KONG BUZZ Concert for the Animals on 29 November. For a second time the charity concert will be hosted and sponsored by the Tikitiki Bowling Bar. The master of ceremonies will be Sai Kung personality Paul Baynham. All staff and entertainers will dressed and made up as dogs or cats.
Five animal charities rescuing and homing hundreds of dogs and cats will be the beneficiaries: Catherine’s Puppies, Hong Kong Cats, Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation, HomeDogHome and Sai Kung Lost-Found-Injured Animals.
People who want to support this worthwhile event are asked to pay at the door or to purchase tickets at www.tikitiki.com $250 for adults with $150 going to the five charities and $150 for children with $90 going to the charities. That will entitle you to Southeast Asian buffet food, two standard house drinks and limited free bowling on the Krakatoa Lanes reserved for concert customers. You will also be able to dip into the oyster bar at only $10 a piece.
The concert will begin at 5pm with games, workshops, variety acts and music for children. A juggler and clown will entertain the crowd, circulating among them. By 7pm the adult entertainment will be launched and the buffet food unveiled. Frankie, Jane and Ryan will be performing and the master of ceremonies will be enlivening “the heart and soul”.
Last year more than 400 people who like the concept turned up at the second BUZZ Concert for the Animals at Tikitiki Bowling Bar. A total of $41,900 was raised for the five animal charities and split equally among them. The organisers take none of the charities’ money for costs.
You can book by emailing reservations@urban-ent.com or calling 2657 8488. On the night concert attendees will be entitled to an hour’s free parking in Centro, 1A Chui Tong St, Sai Kung. If your party buys $400 or more worth of tickets you will be given two hours of free parking.
Come along on 29 November to support the charities and benefit their hundreds of dogs and cats while having a rollicking good time with like-minded people. Last year the crowd was dancing in the aisles arm in arm as Frankie and his musicians rattled the rafters.
