Four injured, including three police, when their vehicle, a bus and a van collided on Po Lam Road

A bizarre multi-vehicle pile up occurred on Po Lam Road this evening, when a KMB double deck bus crashed head on with a  police tactical unit vehicle and then collided with a seven-seat van. Four people were taken to hospital, including three police.

According to eye witnesses, at about 5:30 pm this afternoon, a double-decker bus suspected to be out of control, crossed over to the opposite lane, colliding with the oncoming police vehicle, and then proceeded to hit the 7-seat passenger car. The police vehicle overturned, and the front of the bus and the windshield were badly damaged.

The injured were taken to  United Christian Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital for emergency treatment. Details of casualties, the circumstances and the cause of the accident remain to be determined.
