Four people were injured and hospitalised this afternoon when a green minibus travelling towards Pak Tam Chung from Sai Kung swerved to avoid a Mercedes car and ended up two metres down a slope. It was stopped from further fall by a tree and a fence.
The accident happened close to Clover Lodge on Tai Mong Tsai Road just after 2:00 pm. Firefighters then used a rope to steady the minibus to prevent the vehicle from going further down the hillside. Three male and one female passengers (55 to 84 years old) were injured and taken by ambulance to Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
The driver and a 2-year-old child in the Mercedes Benz car were not injured. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
