Police test the off-road capabilities of one of their 4x4s at Hang Hau roundabout…..

At 11:00 pm last night (2 June), a police Toyota Land Cruiser Prado off-road vehicle was involved in a traffic accident at the roundabout connecting  Clear Water Bay Road and Hang Hau Road. It was reported that a police officer was driving the 4×4 and was unable to control the vehicle as it went round the roundabout. The police car was photographed  resting on the flowers at the roundabout. The left wheels were off the ground and the car was resting on its floorpan on top of the flowers.

No-one was injured in the accident. Many netizens joked that the police were “Testing its off-road performance!”

The case was classified as “No one injured in a traffic accident – involving a police vehicle”.
