Update on planned protests – 30 August

Here is this week’s update on planned protests in Hong Kong. Not all of these may take place, but those for the next seven days are fairly certain. Also, owing to the fluid nature of the protests, some other events may happen at short notice that are not included here.

30 August: 7:45 pm. Veterinary Groups Say No to Tear Gas. Chater Garden, Central.

30 August: 8:00 pm. Stand in Silence for the 74th Anniversary of the Liberation of Hong Kong. The Cenotaph, Chater Road, Central.

30 August: 9:00 pm. Sham Shui Po Dessert Group. Bridge Connecting Dragon Centre.

30 August: 9.30 am. Tuen Mun Residents Sports Day. Tuen Mun.

31 August: 3:00 pm. Civil Human Rights Front march. Central and Western. (Not approved)

1 September: 1:00 pm. 901 Stuck with You. Hong Kong International Airport.

1 September: 2:00 pm. Rally at British Consulate-General, Hong Kong. Supreme Court Road, Admiralty.

2 – 6 September: 7:30 am. MTR Super Cooperation Movement. Lai King, Kowloon Tong, North Point

7 September: TBC. Demonstration around Government House. (TBC)

14 September: 2:30 pm. Tin Shui Wai Family Fun Tour. Tin Sau Road Park to Tin Shui Wai MTR Station.

Note: Student strikes at secondary and tertiary education institutions are planned to start on Monday 2 September and continue for two weeks.
