This update was postponed by 24 hours to allow new events to be added following the sad death of the HKUST student yesterday morning.
Here is this week’s update on planned protests in Hong Kong. Not all of these may take place, but those for the next seven days are fairly certain. Also, owing to the fluid nature of the protests, many other events may happen at short notice that are not included here.
Planned activities seem to be getting less frequent, but spontaneous protests or flash mobs, usually restricted to smaller geographic areas, seem to be increasing. We are not informed of these days in advance.
9 November: 3:00 – 9:30 pm. 30th Anniversary – The Fall of Berlin Wall Rally. Edinburgh Place, Central
10 November: 2:00 pm. Tuen Mun Cow Demonstration. Tuen Mun.
11 November: 7:00 am. The Dawn Action. Action in 18 districts. Paralysing the entire transportation system of Hong Kong by flash-mob road block set up, to co-operate with the city-wide strike.
11 – 13 November. 8:00 am – 9:00 pm. 40-hour prayer meeting. Edinburgh Place, Central.
12 November: 7:00 pm. Singing with you in Kwai Chung – Praying x Mourning. Space outside Kwai Chung Plaza.

Note: The student strikes/demonstrations at secondary and tertiary education institutions which started on Monday 2 September will continue, as will other continuing actions by various groups which we have not highlighted here.
