Burglars ransack house in O Pui Village, $200,000 valuables taken

A house in O Pui Village, Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung, was broken into  yesterday and more than HK$200,000  of property, including jewelry and watches stolen.

Police received a report from a 68-year-old male resident at 11:43 pm last night, alleging that the window of a room on the ground floor was opened by someone, and there were signs of ransacking and he suspected being burgled.

After preliminary investigations by police,  a bracelet worth about $200,000, a watch worth about $15,000, and about $10,000 in cash were missing. The case has been classified as a burglary and referred to the Criminal Investigation Team of the Tseung Kwan O Police District. No one has arrested at this time.
