The Centre for Health protection is trying to track a number of domestic helpers who stayed at boarding houses before they moved in with their new employers.
One 35-year-old Indonesian domestic helper (case 4199) was diagnosed yesterday. She left her old employer on 24 July and stayed on the seventh floor of Haven Court in Causeway Bay from 25 – 31 July , where she lived with five other domestic helpers. During that time the recruitment agency that runs the premises arranged for them to be tested.
By the time the test results came back positive she had moved to a new employer in Sai Kung. The five other helpers will be tested again. 11 people are listed as close contacts and have been sent to a quarantine centre.
