Recently, an online video clip showed a car driving along Hiram’s Highway, near Pa Sha Wan’s New Fishermen’s Village with a dog sitting in the half open open boot.
The video was referred to the SPCA who then passed it on to the police.
After the Wong Tai Sin Police District Crime Squad took over the investigation, yesterday (3/8) a 59-year-old man was arrested in Sai Kung for cruel treatment of animals. He was given bail pending investigation and must report to the police in early October. The dog involved has no superficial injuries and has now taken away by the SPCA for observation.
