21 people fall into sea off Sai Kung when boat overturns; all safe

21 people fell into the sea around 12 noon today (20/2), when a small boat overturned about 20 metres offshore at Ham Tin Bay in Sai Kung.

A large wave is presumed to have overturned the boat, and the 10 men and 11 women (4 to 55 years old), on board with the owner, all fell into the sea.

Fortunately, the location of the incident was close to the shore, and after the initial panic, everyone assisted each other to the beach. The police arrived at the scene and found that everyone was generally unharmed, but a 38-year-old women suffered minor injuries to her foot and had to be sent to hospital by helicopter for treatment. 

The incident was classified as a ship overturning and was handed over to relevant departments for follow-up.
