A 53-year-old man who was hiking with his friend at Lai Chi Chong, Sai Kung yesterday afternoon (6/10) died after he experienced pains in his heart.
The man was hiking with a friend at Lai Chi Chong, when he suddenly felt pain in his heart and lost consciousness. His friend immediately reported the incident to police.
Police, firemen and the Government Flying Service arrived at the scene. They rushed him to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Chai Wan by helicopter. He was later certified dead.
It is understood that the man had a record of heart attacks. Police are now investigating the case and are trying to contact the man’s family.
