Police arrest seven people after gang fight in Sai Kung

A fight broke out in Sai Kung early this morning (16/1), with police arresting seven people. The incident happened at 2:33 am. Police received a report that there were many people fighting at the junction of Yi Chun Street and Man Nin Street. Video shows a gang of people chasing two cars.

A large number of police officers arrived at the scene and arrested a 17-year-old man and a 22-year-old man on suspicion of “taking part in a gang fight”.

The police also found that the body of another car was damaged and that other two vehicles had fled the scene. No one was injured in the incident. The case is classified as criminal damage. The police caught five men near the main road. After preliminary investigation, they were arrested on suspicion of being in a gang fight too. All arrested persons have been detained for investigation.

The case has been classified as gang fight with criminal damage, and has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Team of Wong Tai Sin Police District for follow-up. It is expected that more people will be arrested.

According to the video circulating on the Internet, a black car was being chased by two other private cars when it was driving to the roundabout. There was a loud bang and several men chased the car to the side of the road.
