80-year-old missing woman found floating in sea off Sai Kung

An 80-year-old woman went missing from her home in Sai Kung on Monday (8/5). She suffered from cognitive impairment. She left home at about 10:30 pm and disappeared. Afterwards, the family members called the police and posted posters nearby to alert people to help find her.

Yesterday (10/5) at 12:41 pm, a passer-by near by Lakeside Gardens, Sai Kung, saw a body floating in the sea 20 metres from shore, so he called the police. The marine police arrived at the scene and, on getting the body ashore, confirmed that it was an old woman. 

The cause of death is being determined.
