57-year-old woman knocked down by, and trapped under, pickup truck on Clear Water Bay Road

Early this morning (13/1), just after 8:00 am, a pick-up truck, driving along Clear Water Bay Road from Sai Kung towards Kowloon, knocked down a 57-year-old woman when it was opposite to the Sinopec oil station near Sun Chi Court.

She suffered injuries to her face and feet, and was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, while conscious, by ambulance. A passer-by witnessed the car accident and called the police for help while comforting the injured woman. The 60-year-old male driver of the truck was unharmed and was present to help investigate the cause of the accident.

Due to the accident, some lanes of Clear Water Bay Road (Kowloon bound) near On Sau Road were closed for around an hour.
