A 60-year-old man, fishing from a boat with some friends off Trio Island, east of Clear Water Bay Country Park, drowned after falling off the boat this morning. He was still breathing, but comatose when pulled from the water by his friends, but sadly was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital after being rescued by Marine Police.
Trio Island is a well known fishing and diving spot owing to nearby corals reefs and rocky shore.
