A traffic accident occurred at 3:00 pm yesterday (26/3) on Sai Sha Road involving two cars and a seven seater. One person suffered minor injuries and was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment. Sai Sha Road near Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai was closed for a while.
The footage from the car cam of the first vehicle showed that the incident happened at about 2:55 pm. The “cam car” was driving along Sai Sha Road towards Ma On Shan. When it reached a left turn near Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai, a black private car coming from the opposite lane suddenly swerved out of control, and crossed the double white lines. It seems that it hit the “cam car” first, and then slammed into the van behind the “cam car”.
The out of control car crashed and turned 180 degrees. The front of the car was seriously damaged. The air bag in the car popped out. The front of one of the vehicles hit was also severely damaged with parts were scattered all over the road.
Some netizens believed that the accident was caused by rain and slippery roads.
The police said that they received a report at 2:58 pm that two private cars and a light truck were involved in a car accident on Sai Sha Road. One driver was injured and sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
