Members and guests are invited to the Hebe Haven Yacht Club on 12 April for “Boogie by the Bay”. Musicians from Jimmy2Times and local schools such as Malvern College, Island School and Renaissance College will be performing. The show lasts from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Entry will cost adults $150 and little kids $20. This includes a hotdog or hamburger.
The event is a fund-raiser for youth sailing, especially for disadvantaged youngsters. The Development Fund for Youth Sailing has been established to assist young sailors to develop their sailing skills and to support them at a competitive level. The fund is established on the basis of fundraising events and donations, and is managed to ensure fair distribution over the various categories of youth sailing within each financial year.
Also on the night the Sailors Award Ceremony will be held. Winners will get awards for Keelboat Sailor of the Year and Boat of the Year.
