A new purpose-built facility for K1 and K2 children is set to open in August 2026 with students at the new kindergarten offered a guaranteed place at ESF Renaissance College. As part of the project, ESF Tung Chung International Kindergarten will cease operations and relocate to the new development in Sai Sha. Parents who enrol their child in ESF Tung Chung International Kindergarten in 2025 will be offered a place at the new Sai Sha facility.
Yesterday (17/1) ESF announced that they will be opening a new, purpose built and state-of-the-art kindergarten in the massive development by Sun Hung Kai Properties as part of its mega project in Sai Sha with 9,500 private residential flats built on 74.8 hectares (185 acres) of land in Shap Sze Heung, near Sai Sha Road.
The ESF development in Sai Sha will allow for up to 300 students across K1 and K2 The new kindergarten which is subject to EDB approval will offer guaranteed entry into Year 1 of ESF Renaissance College – giving parents certainty about their child’s entire educational journey. This is the first time ESF have completely aligned one of their kindergartens with a single school.
The existing kindergarten in Tung Chung will relocate to Sai Sha when it opens in 2026.
Applications for K1 entry in 2025 at Tung Chung Kindergarten will be accepted as normal during the central application period. However, those students wishing to move onto K2 will be enrolled in the new kindergarten in Sai Sha – and then offered a guaranteed place at ESF Renaissance College.
