A traffic accident occurred just after 10:00 am this morning (11/3), when a taxi driving along Hiram’s Highway towards Sai Kung town hit a 69-year-old female pedestrian when it reached the junction with Kau Sai San Tsuen Road.
The victim suffered head and foot injuries and was sent to hospital by ambulance for treatment. The 49-year-old driver of the vehicle involved reported neck pain and was also sent to the hospital.
Traffic along Hiram’s Highway was disrupted for some time while the emergency services were on the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
