November 2024 Charity Run/Walk at CWB Golf and Country Club, Sai Kung
Athletes who like a challenge in a good cause are invited to take part in a walk or run at the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club, Sai Kung on May 24. But you’d better be quick; “only limited spots are available”. You can choose between doing the 3.5km walk or the 5km run from the Marina. It will be a colourful day out at the picturesque club by the sea. At the same time a Mini-Carnival will be staged.
Dubbed the “Run Run for Youth”, in honour of the late Run Run Shaw, the event is supported by the Shaw Foundation. Funds raised on 24 May will be used “to empower young individuals to reach their aspirations and become leaders of their communities . . .” To learn more go to joymiles.hk/product/cwbgcc2025/ . The “Community Outreach and Charity Programme” (COP) operated by the Clearwater Bay Golf and Country Club has benefited more than 50 charities over the two decades. Events have promoted sports, youth empowerment, elderly well-being, emergency relief and preservation of the environment. Forthcoming COP events:
