House burgled in Villa Horizon, Clear Water Bay

At about 7:30 this morning (3/9) a female resident of one of the detached houses at The Villa Horizon Silver Stream Path, Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung, reported to the police that there were signs of ransacking in the house and suspected it had been burgled. When the police arrived at the scene to investigate as the homeowner was counting the loss of property, later estimated to be jewellery worth $100,000.

The residents of the house in Block 2 discovered a broken window and signs of ransacking inside the house when they awoke. Police officers responded to the scene and are currently tracking the culprits.

UPDATE at 5:00 pm: Police have now stated that a maid reported the burglary and that the house owners are currently travelling abroad. The value of the stolen property is currently an estimate.
