Police chase car for nearly 2 km along Clear Water Bay Road; two men arrested for drug dealing

Early this morning (6/7), a uniformed patrol team from Tseung Kwan O Police District was conducting anti-burglary patrols in the area when a suspicious private car was found parked on the side of the road in Mang Kung Uk Village, Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung.

While they were inspecting the vehicle, it accelerated away along Clear Water Bay Road, and the police gave chase. When they reached the Hang Hau roundabout at the junction of Clear Water Bay Road and Ying Yip Road, Tseung Kwan O, nearly 2 kilometres away, two police cars trapped the car in front and rear.

The police found multiple packets of suspected ketamine (K-Bai) and crack cocaine in the vehicle. The 35-year-old male driver and a 21-year-old male passenger were both arrested and taken to the police station for investigation.
