Two green minibuses and car collide on Hiram’s’ Highway in Sai Kung; four hospitalised

A traffic accident occurred on Hiram’s Highway at approximately 9:15 p.m. last night (31/8), when a car and two green minibuses collided near the junction with Mong Kung Wo Road. Five people suffered minor injuries in the accident, four of whom were taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance. A pregnant woman is also reportedly experiencing dizziness and discomfort.

Online photos show one of the minibuses colliding head-on with a car in the opposite lane. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, with the front of the car severely deformed and dented. The left front side of the minibus was also damaged, leaving debris on the road. The the other minibus had slight damage. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

Due to the accident, part of the lane at the intersection of Hiram’s Highway and Mong Kung Wo Road was closed for a while, causing traffic obstruction; it was unblocked at around 11:00 pm.
