HK$340,000 of property stolen in Portofino, Clearwater Bay burglary

A burglary has occurred in Clearwater Bay yesterday morning (30/10). Police received a report from the family of a 67-year-old male resident of a detached house in Portofino around 12:20 pm, stating that there were signs of ransacking at the address and they suspected that it had been burgled.

Officers found that the doors and windows had been pried open. A preliminary inventory revealed that two Rolex watches worth approximately HK$170,000, HK$15,000 in cash, HK$150,000 worth of gold jewellery, and approximately HK$5,000 worth of old currency were missing, bringing the total loss to approximately HK$340,000. The case is being investigated by the Third Team of the Tseung Kwan O Police District Criminal Investigation Team, and no arrests have been made so far.
