Empty Bowls is an international initiative to fight hunger. Potters, artists, and community members come together to make handcrafted bowls which they donate to a one evening event. Sai Kung based pottery group yellow pear co are organising a charity event at The Picture House on 10 November to raise funds for Food Angel.
Guests attending this event pay a ticket price ($180) and receive a bowl to keep and also soup from restaurant sponsor The Picture House. this amount includes soup from The Picture House & bowl made by local Hong Kong artisan that’s yours to keep!
*full ticket price donated to Food Angel Charity and full donation will be matched by Yellow Pear Co.!
The Empty Bowls Soup Dinner and subsequent bowl kept from the event serves as a reminder of all the bowls that go empty in our area each day.
