At 3:41 pm yesterday (31/1), a seven-seater vehicle and a car collided head-on on Hiram’s Highway near Habitat, Sai Kung. The accident resulted in severe damage to the front of both vehicles, with debris scattered everywhere.
The 54-year-old driver of one vehicle reported finger pain, while his 8-year-old son suffered a mouth injury. The 62-year-old driver of the other vehicle, and his 61-year-old wife, reported foot and neck pain respectively. All four were conscious and were taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance. Police are investigating the cause of the accident and are not ruling out the possibility that the vehicle may have slipped and crossed the lane due to rain.

Online photos and videos show a seven-seater vehicle colliding head-on with a Zeekr electric vehicle in the fast lane, with the seven-seater coming to a stop in the opposite lane. Both vehicles were severely damaged at the front, resembling scrap metal, with parts scattered everywhere; the airbags inside the vehicles deployed. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
