ParknShop on Fuk Man Road, Sai Kung has closed telling customers to go to their stores at Dock 1A or Sai Kung Garden.

Although dumb, the closure may be understandable. The greedy landlord may have upped the rent 300 per cent. This happened to the Dan Ryan’s restaurant group after their ICC landlord whacked their phenomenally successful store. Bad landlord named: Sun Hung Kai Properties.
Why didn’t PnS copy rival Wellcome, close by on the same road,, and lease two or three units and chop down the walls?
And did some deep-pocketed outfit make an offer the Fuk Man Rd landlord couldn’t refuse?
BUZZ reported in 2021 that the row of shops, including ParknShop, was on sale for $280 million. Maybe the new owner has ideas for the property – or is just greedy?
