The Secretary for Development, Ms Bernadette Linn, announced the Government’s 2026-27 Land Sale List on Friday 27 February.
The 2026-27 Land Sale List covers nine residential sites, capable of providing about 6Â 650 flats. Included in the list was a 24,900 sq m plot in Ta Ku Ling, Sai Kung. This site has been rolled over in each Land Sale since 2023. (For some reason the lot area seems to change each time!)
It was originally listed in 2023 Land Sales List, and Colliers Valuation Services noted then that it would be possible to build up to 252,586 sq. ft. (23,466 sq. m.) gross floor area of 7 storey buildings.
They also noted that in the current Outline Zoning Plan the site is zoned into two portions. Area A is designated for residential development and social welfare facilities, including a Residential Care Home for the Elderly cum Day Care Unit. Area B is a non-building area (NBA) where no development is permitted. The future developer may be required to construct a new access road and pedestrian facilities connecting to Clear Water Bay Road in the NBA at their own expense,
The area around Ta Kwu Ling San Tsuen is surrounded by several bungalow developments, including Celestial Villa, The Green Villa, Las Pinadas, Grandview Villa, Capital Villa and Capital Garden, built from 1975 to 1983.
