BMW catches fire on Clear Water Bay Road, Sai Kung; driver managed to jump out of the vehicle and escape

A vehicle caught fire on Clear Water Bay Road, Sai Kung yesterday around 1:40 pm. the BMW was travelling along Clear Water Bay Road when it caught fire and emitted thick smoke near Good Hope Secondary School. The driver was able to stop the car, escape and call the police. Firefighters arrived and extinguished the fire.

Online images show the white BMW parked on the side of the road, emitting thick plumes of smoke. Police and firefighters are currently investigating the cause of the fire. As a result of the incident, the slow lane of Clear Water Bay Road (towards Sai Kung) near Jat’s Incline was temporarily closed, but later reopened.
