A traffic accident occurred in Sai Kung this morning (31/5) around 3:15 am. A car carrying two men was traveling uphill on Tai Au Mun Road in Clear Water Bay towards Kowloon. When it reached a bend in the road, the driver is suspected of losing control, crashed into the roadside rocky slope, and then bounced across the opposite lane before coming to a stop. The driver and passenger were both injured.
Friends in other vehicles travelling with the crashed car called the police for help. The 32-year-old driver, suffered fractures and neck and facial injuries, and was briefly unconscious. The 36-year-old passenger sustained injuries to his hands, feet, and neck.

Both were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance. The driver later regained consciousness. Both passengers were wearing neck braces and oxygen masks upon arrival at the hospital.
Police are investigating the incident and its cause.
