Yesterday afternoon (4/6) around 1:00 pm, an elderly man was found unconscious at Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung. He was found about 10 metres offshore and rescued by lifeguards who provided first aid. Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and he was transferred by ambulance to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for further treatment. The police are investigating the incident.
Around the same time, an elderly man, approximately 70 years old and holding a two-way permit, was also found floating in the waters off Hap Mun Bay Beach. He was spotted by swimmers who called for help, and was brought ashore by a marine police vessel. However, he was already unconscious and was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead at 2:19 pm. Police are investigating the incident .
