Drunk driver crashes car on Clear Water Bay Road blocking road

Just after midnight last night (27/11), a white car was driving along Clear Water Road and as it approached Ta Ku Ling New Village, suddenly lost control and crashed into the rocky embankment at the side of the road. The car crossed the middle of the road and toppled over. The driver was trapped in the car for a while for a while, but then managed to get out on his own. 

Passing drivers called the police, and when they arrived at the scene and conducted a breathalyser test on the 39-year-old driver it showed that he had exceeded the limit; he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. The driver injured his hand in the accident and was sent to hospital for treatment. 

Traffic along Clear Water Bay Road was affected for some time after the accident.
