
Two burglaries occurred in Ho Chung, Sai Kung last night, around 10:00 pm. Police received a report from a 42-year-old man who had discovered that the windows and back door of his village house on Ho Chung Road had been pried open, and there were signs of ransacking inside, suggesting a burglary. Upon arrival, officers found that a nearby village house, also on Ho Chung Road, had also had its windows pried open.
According to a preliminary count, a Rolex watch worth approximately HK$80,000 and an eco-friendly bag worth approximately HK$10 was missing from the first house, and after an inventory check it was confirmed that there was no loss of property in the second house
Following a preliminary investigation, police classified the case as a series of burglaries and handed it over to the third team of the Wong Tai Sin Police District Criminal Investigation Team for follow-up. No arrests have been made so far.
