Seventy dogs will soon be in distress, according to Narelle Pamuk of Sai Kung Stray Friends Foundation, because of a Government decision

The CEO of Sai Kung’s largest dog shelter, Narelle Pamuk, told BUZZ “We are reaching out at a time of crisis . . . The Planning Department has ruled that a portion of the land currently occupied by our shelter must be vacated, with compliance required by 12 September.

“Unless a solution is found urgently, 70 healthy, loving, beautiful dogs could lose the only home and safety they have known. These dogs have done nothing wrong. Many came to us after abandonment, neglect, or hardship. At the shelter, they have found care, security, companionship, and a chance to be loved.

“We have asked for more time while the planning application is considered, but our request has not yet resulted in a postponement. We are working through every possible channel to find suitable temporary or permanent accommodation, but immediate shelter options are extremely limited”.
