Police learned that a group of people were going to engage in reckless driving in Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung, last night (1/10). Based on intelligence analysis and online information, officers arrived early to deploy and lay in ambush. They discovered private cars repeatedly speeding between Tai Au Mun Road, Clear Water Bay Beach, and Po Toi O. One of the cars was found speeding at 100 km/h, double the 50 km/h speed limit.
Police officers stopped the car near Sheung Yeung Tsuen on Clear Water Bay Road for investigation. Subsequently, the 35-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of “dangerous driving,” and the car was towed away for inspection.
