Car catches fire in Sai Kung; whole car is engulfed in flames

A car caught fire in Sai Kung around 3:00 pm this afternoon (11/3). The car caught fire while it was being driven along Po Tung Road. Firefighters rushed to the scene and put out the fire. As can be seen from online clips and pictures, the entire car was engulfed in fire, with red-hot flames and large amounts of black smoke.

The Transport Department stated that due to a vehicle fire, Po Tong Road, near Man Nin Street was closed. Motorists are asked to consider using other roads. There is currently heavy traffic at the site.
