Just before 4:00 am this morning, a Toyota seven-passenger vehicle crashed as it was turning from Po Lo Che Road onto Hiram’s Highway. It is suspected that the rainy road caused the van to slip out of control and hit the right-hand hillside and a metal utility pole, which seriously damaged the front of the vehicle.
The driver, surnamed Tang, who is 49 years old, injured himself crawling out of the car, and was later taken to Tseung Kan O Hospital by ambulance.
As the car was leaking oil, fire-fighters attend the scene. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
