Fatal motorbike accident in Clearwater Bay

About 11:50 pm last night, 11 December,  five male motorcyclists were travelling along Tai Au Mun Road towards Kowloon. When they approached Clearwater Bay Second Beach, two of the motorcycles reportedly lost control and rammed into a kerb.

The first, a yellow coloured bike, ran out of control, and the driver fell to the ground, the motorcycle continued rushing nearly 20 metres. The second bike, a Honda Forza 250  also ran out of control, and when the driver fell to the ground, his head crashed into the roadside drain cover. He lost consciousness immediately, leaving five metres of blood on the road. The 43-year-old motorcyclist, surnamed Chan,  was rushed to Tseung Kwan O Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 0:36 am today.
The other motorcyclist, 39 years old,  sustained hand injuries, was also sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for medical treatment in conscious state.
