A wild boar was found trapped on a hillside trail near Mok Tse Che this morning.
A hiker was passing the area around 10:00 am when they found a wild boar with facial injuries trapped in a 2-foot-by-3-foot iron cage. They then alerted the police.
The police arrived and called AFCD staff, who arrived at 11:45 am, and confirmed that the wild boar was an adult female. It seems the boar was trapped by the lure of food.
The police searched the vicinity for other traps, but found none. AFCD inspectors will also inspect the area later.
So the trap just appended to be there? So now they’re not allowed to live in the open spaces either?
