Sai Kung Singers encourage residents to just walk in and join their rehearsals on Tuesday nights at The Hive. Your singing ability does not matter, conductor Kin Lo says, come along and take part. Kin wants men, particularly; now the choir has only two. The rehearsals are from 8 to 10pm at the co-working centre on Po Tung Road.
The choir has regularly performed at community events since its formation in 2014. During the first half of the year the singers perform pop favourites by artists like Ed Sheeran or Bruno Mars. In the second half they switch to rehearsing carols in the run-up to Christmas.

The best singing SAI KUNG BUZZ has heard in the district was by Resurrection Church’s band with the singing led by Cheung-Ang Siew-mei, leader of Christian Action. The song: “Lord, I Give You My Heart.” It was so beautiful you couldn’t sit; you had to stand out of delighted awe.
Brian Eno: “I believe that singing is the key to long life, a good figure, a stable temperament, increased intelligence, super self-confidence, heightened sexual attractiveness, and a better sense of humour.” Git along, little dogies.
