The 2018 Cultural Ambassador Scheme may cause a show to pop up in the centre of town as these photos from Geraldine Young show. It is a programme run by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to encourage art at district level and bring performers out into their community. Each project has a budget of $800,000. Dancers, musicians, actors, opera stars and multi-media artists may all qualify to be Cultural Ambassadors. See the department’s website.
