It’s all change for some of the more popular shops in Sai Kung. The game of musical chairs owing to high rents continues.
The latest to move is Japan Home or JHC – a fixture near the Duke of York for many years. It’s off to take the place of Patsy House, near Starbucks. Everything’s 10% off at the old store while stocks remain. Clearly there will be lots to go, as the new store is less than half the size of the old one. The new store opens on 16 May.
And next weekend is the last in town for TREE. The closure of the eco-friendly furniture store will coincide with the opening of a new larger TREE store at HomeSquare in Shatin. The Sai Kung branch opened in 2012 and was the furniture store’s first branch outside of Hong Kong island. In the meantime, be sure to head down to the Sai Kung branch to grab a bargain in their closing sale.
