A shoe shop in Sai Kung Yee Kuk Street was burgled last month and about $30,000 in cash was taken. The police arrested a man involved in the case yesterday. He is currently being detained for enquiries.
The incident occurred at 11:00 am on 21 June. The police received a call from a man surnamed Chan, who reported that the back door of the shoe store at the Yee Kuk Street was open. After a preliminary search it confirmed about $30,000 in cash was missing.
After a further investigation was conducted by officers of the District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin, s local man, aged 37, was arrested yesterday. He was suspected of burglary and was taken to the Police Station for enquiries. The case is still under investigation.
