Alert reader who spots good news stories wins Montepulciano – twice!

Three months ago the Editors of BUZZ decided to offer a bottle of Montepulciano d’Abruzza each month to the reader who sent in the best news report during the previous month. Now one alert lady has won it twice. Jill Lessiter take a bow. In July she notified BUZZ that a police manhunt appeared to be going on in the Pak Tam Au area. Three mainland thieves kitted out for burglary had been spotted by a rural police patrol. The culprits scarpered, dropping their breaking-and-entering tools. This was confirmed by the new Sai Kung operations chief, Senior Inspector Jacky Chan Ching-kit.

Incidentally, Jacky told a BUZZ team member earlier this week the three dodgy mainlanders have not been captured, despite a huge manhunt involving multiple police divisions, patrol boats and helicopters. They may still be out there, the thugs, that is. And the police. Jacky said the search continues.

If you have a good story, let us know. The most read story – as shown by Google analytics – by a non-BUZZ related writer, wins.
