Sai Kung residents cannot have failed to notice the ugly and unnecessary plastic trellis fences installed by the LCSD in most of their flower beds.
Manufactured in green and brown and now mostly faded and falling apart (no doubt the lucky supplier designed them to in the hope of another lucrative contract), LCSD will tell you that they have been installed to prevent cows and drunks from trampling on the flowers.
“What flowers?” you might ask. “And why do some flower beds need ‘protection’ when others do not?”
Can the LCSD correct this “uglification” and exercise some common sense in our town, the hub of what is still supposed to be “The Garden of Hong Kong”?
