On 28 July 2018 BUZZ reported on the search for illegal immigrants spotted at the public toilets at Pak Tam Au, and suspected of being behind a number of burglaries in the area.
These photos released by Senior Inspector Jacky Chan show burglary kit dropped by three illegal immigrants who scarpered when rural patrol officers advanced on them near the toilet. Tools for breaking into houses are shown along with food and cooking equipment. The three thugs may still be out there so the local police chief asks residents to report men who look like they have been sleeping rough in the bush.
