Two buses collided near Pak Tam Chung around 9.30 am this morning, injuring eight passengers and a driver.
Witnesses say that a tourist coach pulled out of the Po Leung Kuk holiday camp, and whilst driving on the wrong side of the road, hit an oncoming 16-seater private minibus head on. The driver of the minibus was trapped in his seat, and the eight passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital for check ups.
Both buses suffered damage to the fronts with both windshields broken; glass was scattered over the floors of both buses.
There was slight delay to traffic along Tai Mong Tsai Road. Police are investigating. The minibus was taking its female passengers to West Pavilion at High Island, where they were to start hiking.
