In what seems to be coming a nightly event, another car crashed on Clear Water Bay late last night, just after 11:00 pm. The white Volkswagen car was driving along Clear Water Bay Road towards Sai Kung, approaching Ka Shue Road, when it served to avoid another vehicle.
After losing control and ramming into the roadside kerb, it spun around and then collided with the remains of a lamppost that had been previously been damaged by the typhoon. This caused extensive damage to the front and rear of the car, narrowly missing the driver.
The 24-year-old male driver was not injured, and did not fail an immediate breathalyser test. Police are investigating further.
