Earlier today a number of vehicles parked outside the garages/car repair shops in the light industrial area of Tai Chung Hau, Sai Kung, were splashed with corrosive fluid, possibly paint stripper.
Police arrived at the scene to investigate around 8:00 am. They have classed the case as criminal damage, are looking for the culprit(s).
BUZZ spoke to a person working at one of the industrial units. He said that although the police had earlier been quoted as linking the events to recent complaints about the payment of protection money, this was unlikely. He added that it was probably the result of an argument between two neighbouring tenants.
The area is famous for it’s many “abandoned” cars as well as repair shops for specialist car brands.
